Honey Puddle Passion

Camp Honey Puddle's mission is to demonstrate the symbiotic trinity of art, nature, and community through the meditative practice of honey and tea cultivation.

In a 1925 letter, German poet Rainer Maria Rilke spoke of the artist’s task in transforming objects into art:

We are the bees of the invisible.

We gather the honey of the visible,

in order to store it in the great golden hive of the Invisible.

Nectar and the tea leaf were the among the first elements our world. The earth produced this to ensure living things would grow and thrive.

Inside Camp Honey Puddle, we share what we've produced from these elements, and inspire others to take part in preserving nature's gifts.

Tea and Honey, some may think them as non-essential until imagining them gone from the world. Today, we live in a time of ecological stress. Our heedless treatment and reduction of bees threaten both the natural world and our survival. We see much of our natural world thrown off balance.

Our goal is cultivating nature's materials so that it becomes a part of our inner lives. We then offer it to others as cultivated art.  It is not about taking.

It is about receiving the essence of nature, then translating that essence to others as a gift of vision and harmony
